Weller Antique 107 Bourbon

Really wanted to like this one more. It's sweet and smooth enough. Just lacks depth of flavors. The proof is noticeable.

My new favorite wheated bourbon! Great color and a nose that's heavy sweet with a hint of tangerine. Enters thick, chewy and sweet. Cinnamon candy with a short, hot, tingly finish. No char or barrel funk. A few cubes of ice does bring some oak into the mix and tones down the finish a notch. This whiskey seems made to handle ice melt. It's nitpicking, but the bottle and labeling are hella' ugly. Be careful with this one. The 107 proof sneaks up on you.
