For Gretzky’s second release, Master Distiller Joshua Beach has amped up the amount of sourced rye whisky that is blended with the corn whisky base. The blend is then finished for approximately four months in Gretzky’s own Vidal icewine casks.
It took a hundred trial blends before Joshua found this winning recipe – one that he and Gretzky loved the most. Canada only.

"The marriage of Joshua Beach’s blend with Icewine casks is so Canadian that instead of the familiar sound of a cork popping, the bottle should play “O Canada” instead. A wallop of rye spice and cloves is tightly melted with fruity citrus, maple, oak and honey rich Vidal sweetness. A floral touch in the long glowing finish should have you standing at attention. O Canada’s lyric, “we stand on guard for thee,” may have been a futuristic prediction on what you’ll do with this whisky. Complex, solid and gorgeous."
