Reviewed December 22, 2020The color is a medium amber with legs that need to be somewhat coaxed out. The nose has a candy sweetness that also hits you with sharp bit spice at first. Oak, vanilla, ripe fruit and a bit of brown sugar bring it all together. The palate is chewy and works it’s way to the corners of the mouth with a wave of baking spice on top of a layer of ripe fruit. The oak and vanilla follow for a relatively simple experience. The finish is medium long with a lingering spice that now feels more peppery than anything. Creamy oak fades while you still feel like chewing on the whiskey some more.
