Westland Peat Week 2021 Single Cask #6732

Of all the Peat Week releases I’ve been able to try, the 7th Annual Peat Week was one of my favorites. The idea of a twin release was enticing, offering a dual experience, or one of two options you could choose based on your own taste preferences. In this case, the ex-rum cask is deeply satisfying, elegantly rich, while undeniably boisterous, coming in at a whopping 121.6 proof (Of the two releases, this isn’t even the highest proof!) It’s creamy, offering tropical notes of melon, pineapple, and papaya. The finish is lush, lingering on the longer side. Unsurprisingly, this one heats up and finds its way deeply into your chest. You will remember it for a while after it’s gone. What a trip! Finished: 08/26/2022
