Reviewed September 5, 2024Really enjoyed this. Smoked hickory, vanilla, caramel and chocolate. Slight smoke counteracts the sharpness of the rye. Overall a great, easy drinking whiskey. -

Reviewed January 31, 2024I thought it was light on the smoke and flavor. Not as spicy as i would have thought as well. Very easy drinking whiskey. -

Reviewed January 25, 2024I just tried this again. Its so fucking bad. Like really really bad. theres almost no reedeeming factors deapite looking for them. Idk if this got worse over time or if my sense of taste was vacant for that tasting. Almost laughable that whistlepig tasted this and thought it was okay. Its really hard to get me to rag on a whiskey but whistlepig needs to get a fucking grip cause im so confused by this liquid. Steer clear -

Reviewed December 28, 2023A little disappointed. Vanilla, caramels and honey on the front with some very mild oak and hay, applewood and mild tinges of smoke. The finish is short to medium length full of honey, smoke and sweet apple wood. For the price im not thoroughly impressed. Its pretty light and mild on the smoke. This is not a rye either which is very obvious from the flavor. A bit lack luster imo for the price but a reallt easy drinking whiskey from my POV. Unique but not unique enough.68.0 USD per Bottle -

Reviewed June 14, 2023I was about to start smoking pork butt so naturally when i saw this bottle it was impossible to resist. Subdued nose eventually gave a hint of bbq rub and charcoal. Palate was smoky with an herbal honey brininess that reminded me of Carolina bbq. Since i like scotch, i like the smokiness. Not what i’d call robust but not bad for a gimmick release and when i eventually eat dinner i imagine this will pair well with pulled pork.70.0 USD per BottleGomer's Midtown
