The gin is made from the same sour mash base used for their line of whiskeys.

"At first whiff, it is apparent that this gin came from a producer focused on making whiskey. The grain flavors are rich and bold and almost overwhelm the subtle juniper and citrus tones. The body is full and weighty, but unfortunately not very botanical until the somewhat spicy citrus oil finish. An unconventional gin that has its charms but may not appeal to hardcore juniper heads. "
