An interesting bottle. Has the classic wild turkey flavor and nose, but I taste a small amount more peat than normal. Gives this expression an old time feel. Overall a good bourbon, not my favorite wild turkey expression, but a good drink none the less.
Update a month later:
This is a better bottle than my first tasting. The nose and taste is still classic wild turkey, with a nice mid pallet spice and lingers a bit in a good way. But now that the bottle has been opened up a month or so I don’t taste the peaty note I first did. Might have been the neck pour was different. I updated my rating to 3.75 from 3.5
