Nose: It comes out with strong vanilla notes and oaky spiciness that tinge the nose a bit. Some salted caramel and cooked mash is noticeable as well. Also a chocolate fudge smell occasionally.
Palate: More of the vanilla from the nose at first sip. The oaky spice turns more into cinnamon and black pepper. A sweet caramel mixes with some tartness from a ripe apple.
Finish: Caramel syrup sweetness and a bit of burnt sugar. A beautiful long finish, with more ripe fruity notes.
All classic bourbon notes. A lot of vanilla, caramel, spices like Cinnamon MAYBE pepper. Mouth feel is heavy almost like a cream. Rare breed has a serious bite to it. Very fun bourbon to drink
Not much on the nose which is surprising given what it offers on the palate. On the palate, vanilla, vanilla, vanilla. Very full, but smooth given its proof. Long, warm finish with lots of oak and dried tobacco. Think autumn in the country. High my favorite bourbons list!
