Wild Turkey Rare Breed Barrel Proof Bourbon

Very sweet on the nose. Tons of vanilla. As soon as you taste it vanilla explodes across the tongue. After the vanilla wears off, notes of caramel and oak come through. Finishes smooth with oaky char and a little heat from the proof. Excellent.

Surprisingly smooth for a higher proof. It had a solid aggressive finish. I feel like an entitled frat kid with this one!

Dangerously smooth for the proof.

Update: 5th bottle. Palate more refined. Lowered score slightly. Really good! Thick caramel, vanilla coating on the palate. Wonderful, long finish. Much better with a couple drops of water. It opens up the favors. Surprised that Wild Turkey made such a great whiskey.
