Reviewed November 1, 2020 (edited December 24, 2021)Rating Barrel #15617-6... chosen by OHLQ for exclusive Ohio distribution. Definitely part of the Wilderness Trail family. Familiar sweet nose with a balanced palette, slightly spicy, but full of fruit and vanilla. A bit easier to drink than some higher-proof/barrel strength offerings. Opens up as ice block melts. Enjoying it, but not sure it is much better than the standard small batch which is quite a bit cheaper and one of my favorites.68.0 USD per Bottle -

Reviewed September 18, 2020 (edited December 24, 2021)Aroma is damn nice with some good fruity notes pairing well with the oak and darkly sweet notes giving it an elegant dessert profile; Palate is sweet and bready but intensely interesting with its delivery of dessert bar meets rustic outing profile; Finish gets fruitier as it goes – diving into a caramelized banana flavor before it disappears. -

Reviewed July 28, 2020 (edited July 1, 2021)A pleasant floral sweetness greets you as you wake up in your tent. It smells of campfire flapjacks and fresh air. Nose: honey, maple syrup, slight oaky char Palate: a slight pepper bite on the front but barely, gives way to pancakes and buttery honey, just the right amount of heat and a lonnnngggg finish. Hints of peppermint and anise but then ultimately the honey and soft floral taste comes back. This is phenomenal. What a treat to have such a balanced high proof bourbon. You would never know it’s BP from the bite. But you know it’s BP from its complexity.
