Willett Family Estate Small Batch Rye 4 Year

Such an amazing rye. On its own, I always get pickle brine, mustard seeds, and dark rye oat flavors. But when head-to-head with other ryes, I get a milky espresso note with milk chocolate. Wonderful, dynamic rye with a ton of depth for a four-year. Pick this up before it becomes another allocated whiskey that’s impossible to find.

Color: Amber / Gold Nose: Very Sweet | Floral | Herbal | Medicinal| Anise Incredibly unique nose even for rye. Like nothing else. Very potent floral and herbal scents but not overpowering the whisky. Palate: Medium mouthfeel. Tropical fruits, bananas, and with a continued botanical background. Medicinal but not off-putting like fake cherry syrup. Very hard for me to describe but overall incredibly favorable and well balanced. A unique pour. Finish: Little to no heat. The palate remains, leaving you with a wonderfully long, floral finish.

Lovely nose of rye, mint, oak, dark chocolate, flowers, peach and grass. Holy shit this is good. Smooth, rich, sweet and spicy on the palate, with flavors of vanilla, rye, honey, oak, cola, black pepper. Very deep, very bold.
