Reviewed March 1, 2022 (edited March 5, 2022)Copper color N - burned brown sugar, molasses…. Hints of pine. What an amazing nose! P - pine and dill, straw, grassy, rye F - dry, strong dill, rye and oak finish. Lingers for a bit. One of the better noses that I’ve encountered, but, although not bad, the grainy and grassy pallet and finish left something to be desired. Super complex, super unique. Not for everyone. -

Reviewed February 25, 2022 (edited April 1, 2022)Very unique whiskey that you could easily pick out of a lineup of a dozen other ryes. Pickle brine, mustard seed, and rye spice overwhelm the nose; apple cinnamon opening on the palate gives way to a dark rye grain flavor. Will not be everyone’s dram, but if you like it chances are you’ll like it a lot. -

Reviewed February 23, 2022 (edited March 18, 2022)On in the nose: heavy pine and floral aromas. Cinnamon on the palate along with light vanilla, spicy and rich with heavy rye, not overly oily or hot Hearty burn from the 108 proof that receeds quicky to sweetness on the finish. Not the most drinkable rye and not terribly balanced but a high level of complexity that keeps you thinking. I'm glad I snagged a bottle when able but not purturbed it's not readily available at all times.
