Wolfburn is one of Scotland's youngest distilleries. They've been producing whisky since January 2013, and are officially the northern most distillery on the Scottish mainland. Their Wolfburn No. 128 expression is made from lightly peated (10 PPM) malted barley. It is three years of age and has matured in first-fill ex-bourbon quarter casks.

Tasting Notes

"A whisky that is mature beyond its years. The nose starts off on sweet notes of cookie dough and meringue, but transforms into a mix of sour cherries and wet rope. Even some blue cheese, which makes for a very interesting aroma. The palate has a wonderful soft smokiness, and lots of subtle spices, as well light notes of milk chocolate. "
