Woodford Reserve Master's Collection Batch Proof 118.4

On the nose I get marshmallows with brown sugar and cherries. On the palate the oak comes through with stone fruit and raisins.

Nose - chocolate cherries and oak Palate - warm, sweet, fruity and floral and then dark chocolate notes with leather and tobacco at the end Finish - long and warm Great batch. Not exceptional for a $129 retail but it is a solid bourbon

I like this quite a bit. Pleasant nose, stone fruit and some herbs, palate is similar with fruit and some apple upfront, more muted flavors than I’d expected from the more pronounced nose and I think a bit of the alcohol burn mutes the flavors as well, medium long finish. Cherry lingers forever.

Barrel Proof S’mores. Great bottle.

On the nose lots of oak and wood spice. After tasting lots of notes of grape fruit, with leather and tobacco. Good amount of oak as well. Viscosity is amazing. This is a fantastic whiskey.

Strangely, I've not been able to find any information whatsoever about this bourbon online; I even had to create it here on Distiller. I'm a big fan of other Woodford Reserve Master's Collection bottlings, so I took a flyer on this. Clear dark mahoghany. Nose shows leather, cigar box, roasted marshmallow, and a healthy dose of spearmint. Big hit of spicy heat (118.4 proof) on the palate, with secondary paraffin and vanilla. Long peppery finish with vanilla on the tail. Good, but not up to other Master's Collection offerings that I've had from Woodford. N.B. All spirits tasted neat in a Glencairn glass.
