Woodford Reserve Straight Rye

I am a rye fan. With that being said, this tastes more like a malt to me. The only taste I get when drinking this is malt. Nose and palate, pure malt. I don’t like this rye at all.

Not much on the nose but some faint rubbery notes. Rich and sweet with a myriad of complex spicey, toasted flavours where nothing really stands out, but it remains balanced and surprisingly delicious.

Well- earthy rye, etoh hit, good complexity for 34 bucks. All the flavors you read about. I just didn’t connect with it. Mixing it now - old fashions.

Nose: cereal, light vanilla, apricot, a subtle hint of vanilla and cinnamon Palate: beautiful elements of rye spice throughout, vanilla, toast, tail is apricot and a nice burn Overall: beautiful rye, easy drinking, complex, hits all the right notes in the right places. Note: personal preference, I like to carry this in my flask during the winter months. Perfect for this cold winter walks.
