4 Copas Tequila Blanco
Tequila Blanco — Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed October 1, 2021 (edited October 14, 2022)Not bad, but not up to the hype. For the cost it is good but not better than Azul. Great bouquet with a ethanol end that is more than expected but not a turn off. Not in my area so ordered online. Too costly to ship so will only get if local.49.0 USD per Bottle -
Clase Azul Tequila Reposado
Tequila Reposado — Los Altos, Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed September 19, 2021 (edited October 14, 2021)This is amazing. I usually drink bourbon and scotch but my drinking buddy and I Love sipping this. A little spendy for me so this is a special birthday treat. Smooth with not a lot of burn, tons of floral notes vanilla and an overall feeling of light-ness. Lingers nicely. The bouquet is so floral it’s almost like a perfume but not assaulting.169.0 USD per Bottle -
Glenlivet Caribbean Reserve
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed May 14, 2020 (edited May 15, 2020)Well, at 33$ I was willing to try. Not as good as I had hoped, but that’s ok. Fruit first with floral and vanilla. Medium hold with a taste of unrefined burn too. It is just so-so and won’t get again. -
Plantation O.F.T.D. Overproof Rum
Navy Rum — Multiple Countries
Reviewed April 3, 2020 (edited June 21, 2021)I struggle to find a place for this. Wow is it a smack in the face. Floater for tropical is where it is now. Not a straight up sipper. Sharp, spice, raw sugar molasses. I will use but not get again, it is too much spice to enjoy smooth. -
This is my favorite amaretto. Now I have only had 4 total, and willing to try higher rated ones when I can find them, however so many are light watery and disappointing. This is rich thick and sweet with vanilla cherry subtlety. I do not understand why it is rated so low (85) here. Neat, soda of choice, ice, or mixed in a rum pineapple- it ads depth and elegance- enjoy.
