Woodford Reserve Straight Rye

Absolutely astonishing rye! I could drink this all day. I love sipping it. Reminds me of fall time and all the beauty and experiences that usually come with it.

Sweet, smooth, toffee

Unripe banana, burnt sugar, dark caramel, brine, grassy rye notes, warming spice, a bit oily, oak tannins, peppery on the nose. This bottle was open awhile but I do remember the newer woodfords having a promising nose only to deliver bitter oak and raw cereal grains. The flavor is just not there.

Sweet, some spice, not exactly liquorice, maybe clove candy sweetness

Smooth and simple. Not overly spicy. Reminds me of a rye version of their regular bourbon. A wonderful slate with which to craft an amazing cocktail.
