Based in Basalt, Colorado, Woody Creek Distillers was founded by a group of friends who, after their long careers, wanted to leave a legacy of creating and producing craft spirits. Their Colorado Gin expression is made with a base spirit distilled from potatoes.
Botanicals, including local juniper berries, fresh lemongrass, coriander, cinnamon, angelica, hibiscus, lavender, cranberries, and grains of paradise, and then macerated at high temperature in the full spirit for 24 hours. The spirit is then redistilled and bottled at 47% ABV.

"The nose is a mix of citrus peel — grapefruit, orange, lemon, tangerine — with a slight herbaceousness and evergreen aromas. The palate is dry and citrusy, with a good burst of juniper backed by subtle spices and grassy notes. The finish is fairly clean and balanced, with citrus slightly edging out the other aromatics — less junipery, more fruity. "
