Yamazaki 12 Year

Honey, sherry, apple, vanilla on the nose. Vanilla, apple, melon, orange marmalade, sherry, and honey on the palate. Lightly smokey and peppery. Honey and vanilla on the finish.

Aroma: Big but soft butterscotch, vanilla, honey, toffee, caramel. Minimal alcohol. Very nice. Not amazing but good. Palate: very nice. softness. Finish: subtle smoke? With a few drops of water definitely opened. More fruit forward. Berry?

Taste: Oaky and malty with a very subtle peat character. Grain flavors really shine through. Oily Finish: Similar to the taste. Oily texture leaves the malty flavors with you for a few minutes. Smooth. A pleasant whisky to sip. Had as part of a Suntory tasting.

Definite strong whiskey. Great taste and aftertaste. Feel and smell the burn.
