Yamazaki 12 Year

I hate that this lived up to the hype. Caramel with vanilla and peach in the nose. The taste is cranberry and caramel/vanilla. The finish is medium with some cinnamon.

Sweet cereal nose. Great feel on the palate with more sweet vanilla cereal and just a hint of smoke on the finish.

The nose and palate are filled with fresh flower scents, berry fruits and vanilla stick shavings. The wood of the barrels lingers in every taste. The alcohol finish glides over the tongue without a harsh bite. A delightful experience from smell to finish. As my wife said it “this one is a keeper!”
