Started great with the aroma of leather, red hots, honeydew and Armagnac!
Take your time on this one. 101 is well hidden. Rolled it around on the tongue for overall smooth experience. A little heat on the finish but very short lived. Just strong enough for that “up your nose” rush.
I’m a fan of Armagnac and I do get hints in the smell, taste and after taste. Great combination of vanilla and grapes.
I’m a fan of this bottle. Just neat and lots of extra time to ponder.
There is a part of the smell that reminds me of the forest...maybe that’s Yellowstone.
Proof shines through with up front heat but doesn’t linger long. The maturation comes through yet balanced with the traditional Yellowstone profile. Believe if this had another 3 years the smoothness would be perfect.

The Armagnac comes through clearly yet complementary throughout the whole experience. This adds a very unique fruity and caramelized brown sugar note. The oak and vanilla are the main bourbon notes that shine through the Armagnac layer with just a hint of barrel spice peaking through as well. I was impressed by this. Much better than I was expecting.

I was a fan of the LE 2018 (never found the 2019) so was excited to pick this one up. First pour, so will save comments on profile for later, but overall great first impression. Didn’t disappoint, even at the higher price point.
