Absolutely delicious. Tons of peat smoke, of course, but tons of rich, lavish black chocolate, thick creamy caramel, and deep charred sugar. Hints of creosote, but in an amazingly pleasant way. No medicinal or iodine taste that you tend to get with one of the other big Islays (Laphroag).
This is amazingly good, enjoyable, AND complex whisky. It's damn hard to pick between this and Ardbeg, but I think this has the edge.
