Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland

Almost 2 years open, 1/4 bottle remains. This has just gotten better as I move through the bottle.
It now has wonderful, thick, oakiness tempered by dried fruits, nuttiness, orange marmalade, carmel and vanilla notes. It’s semi-sweet and buttery. Finish is lengthy and warm with all the notes above intermingled.

@Bourbon_Obsessed_Lexington that sounds absolutely delicious
@Bourbon_Obsessed_Lexington. Very interesting combo! I often experiment with blends with bottles I'm not likely to finish. But sherried Speyside combined with a big, bold bourbon is not something I would have considered.
Our bottles could be identical twins. Mine feels a bit boring (probably just I’m bored) and led me to mix this 2:1 with knob creek 9y (120 proof) and the result was the addition of wonderful body, spice and nuttiness that really complemented the Sherry.
Good to know that this takes oxygen well :)
