After nearly finishing bottle one, I decided to write up a quick tasting. On the nose a lot of ethanol early on, but after giving it a few shakes a whiff of vanilla is found with a touch of oak. The palate is thinner than I would have thought for the proof, barely a mouth-coater with burnt sugar and caramel being predominant with a reasonable warmth. The finish is enduring, but without a lot of the earlier heat. Definitely worth the price, but not any sort of secondary markup.
