I try not to be that guy who hates on something just because it’s too mainstream. Just because jack Daniels is a big name among the casuals, doesn’t mean they can’t make some decent products for whiskey lovers. I have no problem shopping at Walmart for some stuff instead of Trader Joe’s. I’ll buy JD over Buffalo trace products if I truly enjoy it. I also am not ashamed to say Johnnie walker green label is one of my favorite single malts. So I’m not a snob. That being said, this stuff isn’t very good. A 2.75 is generous considering the price. It’s probably closer to a 2.5. I taste sweet corn and cinnamon with this but nothing more. I know jack daniels barrel proof is much more highly rated but I doubt I spend the money to try it because the lower end products like this, gentleman’s jack and no 7 have all underwhelmed. Can jack Daniels make a product I love? Probably. Have their lower end products inspired me to spend the coin to find out? Not a chance.

JD SBBP has been spectacular. The JD SB Rye is also pretty good. I agree this one is poor, thin and hot. Gentleman Jack used to be better but not any more.
My thoughts almost exactly. The only JD product I've ever really liked was the Uncle Nearest 1856 but I don't have the money to drink it on the reg.
