Nose: on the bottle it is defined as “floral”, and it is in full! In addition to the flowers, very light sherry, very light vanilla, very light citrus. In short, very delicate! Palate: hot and spicy on the tip of the tongue, here the citrus fruits are clearer with a prevalence of lemon. Then honey and always a floral bouquet as a background. Quite dry, but it does not seem balanced to me: it seems that the aromas are separated from the alcohol, and that you put two different liquids in your mouth, one alcoholic and one not. I don't find harmony. She also looks much younger than her 23 years. Final: medium short, but not exceptional. At first glance where the floral and citrus fruits are confirmed, it passes to a second acidulous and bitter part. A whisky that can be said to "leave a bitter taste in your mouth"! My expectations were high, but they weren't met. Too bad because usually the new producers, such as Kininvie, have excellent whiskies. Oltre ai fiori leggerissimo sherry, leggerissima vaniglia, leggerissimi agrumi. Insomma, molto delicato! Palato: piccante e speziato sulla punta della lingua, qui gli agrumi sono più netti con una prevalenza di limone. Poi miele e sempre un bouquet floreale a fare da sfondo. Abbastanza secco, non mi pare però equilibrato: sembra che gli aromi siano separati dall’alcool, e che si mettano in bocca due liquidi diversi, uno alcolico ed uno no. Non trovo armonia. Sembra inoltre molto più giovane dei suoi 23 anni. Finale: medio breve, ma non eccezionale. Ad un primo impatto dove conferma il floreale e gli agrumi, passa ad una seconda parte acidula ed amarognola. Un whisky che si può ben dire che “lasci l’amaro in bocca”! Le mie aspettative erano alte, ma non sono state rispettate. Peccato perché solitamente i nuovi produttori, quale è Kininvie, hanno whisky ottimi. Voto 3,50
