I kept telling myself, “I’ll review this later, just enjoy drinking it for now.”
We’ll, now the bottle is empty and I have no review 😞.
What I remember is a well balanced, delicious rye, more bourbon like than other ryes. Velvety with notes of caramel, vanilla, toffee, citrus, marzipan, leather, brown sugar, oak, light fruit and barrel spices. Pretty good neat and fantastic in an old fashioned.

@Adaminak I find that’s the case for me more and more.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who puts off a review until the bottle is dangerously low. Most nights I just want to enjoy my drink without thinking too, too much about what I’m tasting that is so enjoyable 😋
@jdriip @BDanner I love this too and am working on a multiple-rye tasting, but I may have to detox from last night! 😎
@mikael yes sir it is!
Time to go get another one 🙂
This is my special occasion rye. For when I’ve been an extra good guy.
@jdriip Thanks--me too. So much whisk(e)y, so little time...
@Richard-Davenport looking forward to that review
I've got an open bottle that I haven't touched in a couple of years, and I too remembered liking it. I'll have to do a little side-by-side rye tasting and include this.
@Bourbon_Obsessed_Lexington RB used to be $40 around here, but it's still worth it at $55.
Still plentiful locally so could be a Rare Breed-esque glass shortage. Thankfully RB is now coming back with vengeance and at $55 (despite one guy putting it on the shelf for $99)
Just checked the NH website its up to $50 but available so they are still making it
@Ctrexman crap it's actually disappearing now?! It used to be $45 for me, so I figured it might be up to $55 now. I might be drinking my final bottle :(
Was a shelf mainstay in NH for around $40
@Ctrexman I can’t find it locally either. Will have to resort to the internet.
Love this stuff so of course cant find it anymore
