Barrell Bourbon Batch 033
Bourbon — (bottled in) Kentucky, USA

Very tight and subdued on the nose, gotta really dig to get something beyond a little cinnamon, brown sugar and butterscotch.
Supple, silky even on the palate, semisweet, also very subdued with brown sugar, butterscotch, light baking spices, hints of citrus.
Finish is long, spicy and warming with butterscotch.
Observation based on the first couple pours, I think it has plenty of room to improve with oxidation.

@kicksopenminds nice observations. I finished the bottle without consideration of another review. But I thought it did get more assertive as it opened. May have to pick up another one.
IMO the subdued notes of 033 become *much* more discoverable when drinking on ice (big rock) vs neat. On ice, the sweet, fruity, floral notes abound for me. It's definitely one of the biggest and boldest Barrell batch releases — I drank this back to back with a recent Booker's release and *this* was hotter out of the gate.
