Aroma - a dessert bomb. Butterscotch, caramel, banana bread, cherries in the back. Very nice oak profile brings balance. Doesn’t present itself as a twice barreled product though to be honest. At least not off this dram. Taste - Huge blast of sherry up front that continues on through the mid-palate and in the finish. The sherry really dominates the palate in my opinion. I do get some of the JD profile coming through here in the form of caramel and bananas foster, maybe a slight hint of butterscotch but it’s fleeting and I only pick it up every few sips. Also some hints of chocolate covered raisins. Overall - I prefer the nose over the palate. The sherry is extremely bold on the palate and I’m getting a slightly drying aspect on the finish. 4.35
