nose - initial peatiness, followed by soft subtle honey and green apple.
palette - very subtle initially, surprised by it’s lightness as it hits the palette. builds out from that to a strong smokiness, getting more barrled oak that follows on the ending with a hint of honey and soft sweetness and a little tart on the finish.
i am surprised by how subtle this one starts on the palette, with the depth of the nosing. it takes a second to get going, but i think that makes this a very easy, regular sipper. comes off classy and suave more than robust and forward, which isnt common in peaty scotches in my experience. really nice.
