Dark copper in color runs off the glass fairly quickly with a lots of legs.
Nose is corn (of course), with all kinds of wonderful malty notes, heavy caramel, prunes and tobacco leaves.
Mostly sweet up front, it's balanced by a pleasant dryness mid palate that edges on bitter. Not at all unpleasant though.
The finish on this is long and delicious Malted milk balls dipped in dark chocolate, burnt caramel and plum pudding.
I'd say this is only set apart from outstanding by lacking nuance and depth that shows up somewhere between the mid palate and finish. This is an offering thats really in line with what I like!
Great long finish... It's all there.. this is delicious
