The nose was very pleasant given the high proof. Apricot, caramel and vanilla lead towards a hint of pine The palate is warm and buttery with an instant hit of vanilla and banana bread. A slightly tart and pine inflence as you chew with some sassafras notes as well The finish is fairly long with more than enough pepper to let you experience Texas Rye! Overall, very happy with this 100% Rye!
