I bought this a while back and tried it off and on for the last few months. I paid between $30 and 35 so that is usually where I shop. It has a lot going for it and I like that. It has a rugged almost unrefined taste but that is because it wants to taste like that. On the nose, I get ethanol and vanilla but if you wait a little you can get some spice as well. The front is a bit rough but it is not unpleasant and I get vanilla, spice, and oak. All of these work well together and the ethanol goes away quickly. The finish is kind of quick but it is pleasant with woody notes and vanilla. It does make a very good Old Fashion and it holds up well in the drink. In Manhattan, it is also very good with the flavors working well. Overall, this is a nice bourbon that reminds me of regular Bulleit Bourbon but that is not a bad thing. Enjoy.
