Monkey Shoulder Blended Malt
Blended Malt — Speyside, Scotland

Monkey Shoulder Malt Blended Scotch is now made up of 90% young Kininvie from start to finish, with Glenfinnish and Balvenie in the background of the palate and finish respectively. The nose promises rich aromas of citrus, allspice, vanilla, and caramel. On the palate, it starts with a heated entry of allspice, cinnamon, caramel, and citrus. The finish is a blend of caramel, honey, oak, and allspice. In my opinion, the current version of Monkey Shoulder Malt Blended Scotch is too mild and overpriced for its quality, and I wouldn't choose to buy it again.

@Tango66 I could not agree more. Back in the 80s and 90s Teachers Highland Cream was my go-to blend. It used to have real body and a good amount of peating, but when I last had a bottle a few years ago it was not even a shadow of its former self, it was something completely different and bland. They truly ruined what was once a good scotch.
It is not the worst downgrade. At least it is drinkable. Teachers Highland Cream with new rising sun label shocked me . I loved Teachers Highland Cream for last fifty years until the change of flavors associated with new rising sun label
Yes, this was a valid alternative for everyday use when it first came out but it was never the magic liquid some claimed. The formula has radically changed at least three times and at the time of my last taste a few months ago it was definitely average at best.
