Sweet mesquite Texas bbq note on the nose! But after a while in the glass it seems imitation, cheap.
Slick and sweet with caramel on the palate, but leaves a bitter note.
Warming finish, but the imitation and bitter notes compete with the nice sweet caramel, and mesquite bbq notes. Can’t say which wins.

@cascode I have not yet tried a gimmicky smoked whiskey which won me over. I think this is the last such bottle in my collection and I hope I have the sense not to buy another no matter how good the discount price.
I've tried this, but not reviewed it, and there have been a couple of similar whiskies made here in Australia, but I have not been convinced by any of them.
