The nose is very interesting. Going beyond the typical Hampden funky over ripe banana, I get oregano, squashed lightneing bugs and green oats. The esters are somewhat like toluene and minersl spirits but not in an off putting way. The palate is very interesting with a dryer mouthfeel than expected. The over ripe banana is more like a plantain. The spicyness comes through with an almost burnt herb flavour of oregano and basil. There are also flavors of green and red peppercorns. The finish is short to medium with a bitter yet pleasant aftertaste.
