Angel's Envy Bourbon Finished in Mizunara Oak
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed

The nose starts with a mix of charred oak, ripe fruit, earthy rye and all reminds of you a dessert wine. Not much more to say than that, it is very harmonious and gives great anticipation for the first sip.
The palate is full and oaky, with a distinct spiciness to it that fills the mouth. In the background, there some creamier notes of brown sugar and fruit, but the main profile here is the uniqueness of the oak. The flavor stays strong as it sits, maintaining the dominant notes of spicey oak.
The finish is long and unique, this type of oak is vastly different, full of nuances that give you a different experience. Its almost as if you have qualities of Japanese single malt meeting bourbon.
