Aroma: Peat smoke, wood char, sea air, slightly medicinal, sweet vanilla and lemon
Palate: Fairly hefty, smoky, peaty, a little bit earthy, honey, vanilla and some vague fruit notes that I can't quite pick out
Finish: Medium, peaty and medicinal with lingering sweetness
Overall: A classic Islay that is a must try, it's an excellent dram that strikes a great balance between the sweet and fruity flavours with the harsher smoky, medicinal and char notes, lovely stuff.
