Nose: sweet caramel, honey, vanilla, orange peel, almond, faint sea air. Taste: sweet caramel arrival, nutty, sour apple, dry bitter citrus. Finish: oak, salt, somewhat bitter but dry and refreshing, the bitterness fades with the addition of water bringing more oaky spice and vanilla through. This is a criminally underappreciated malt, and a shocking value.
