Nose: If you could say beautiful was a smell, this would be the smell of beauty for a whisky. Heavy oak and leather notes remind me of a rustic cabin. Various fruit noted like orange and plum add to the sweet aroma as well as a hint of smoke.
Taste: The taste is smooth and friendly. Oak notes with sweet butterscotch, grape skin or wine notes all welcome you with a firm handshake introducing you to a almost peanut butter finish that sounds strange but works beautifully!
Opinion: This whisky was given to me as a gift from a friend for my engagement to my now wife. This scotch has a place in my heart and because of this I am clearly biased. In my biased opinion though, this is a fantastic dram and it embodies marriage in an ethereal kind of way. The many sweet moments, and the moments where it requires a more rugged kind of love. It's a beautiful whisky and I highly recommend it! Cheers!
