Really fruity and sweet smell (maybe chocolate?), not a lot of peat at the nose but a smell of dirt or fresh grass. A lot of legs in the glass but quick to come back down.
First taste salty but light despite the 43%.
Second taste one can feel the peat coming over and it's round and oily aspects slowly lifting and dancing on the tongue.
Adding a small drop of water the lighter smell reminds a cold sea and a hidden touch of dark chocolate or blond coffee.
The next tastes let the salt and seaweed mistress along with the fruit and pepper, vanilla behind the oily and maybe a nut texture.
First time with the Oban 14. really loved the smell and recommends it for shores whisky's amateurs
