I'm still new to scotch, but so far this has been the best tasting scotch I've tried. At first the smokiness was a bit surprising, but I've come to enjoy the smell and taste. There are a lot of complex flavors, I'm not sure my palette is refined enough to name all of them - but I love that I can taste at least 3-4 distinct flavors. The finish is nice and long and smooth. I'm realizing I enjoy the scotches older than 12 years the best - they are smoother (less "hot"/burning) and seem to have more flavors.
