95% corn / 5% malted barley. Distilled in Coffey still to 90+% alcohol, aged in California Cabernet Sauvignon casks. Nose: very sweet (vanilla), gentle spiciness, sometimes cherry. Palate: in sync with nosing, sweet, light. Finish: medium, sweet, then little bit dry/metallic finish with very balanced spices from the wine cask. At the end only pungent spices remain. Good grain whisky, at low price. I enjoyed however Compass Box Hedonism more, it is more refined and balanced.
