Disclaimer- this was the first scotch I've ever purchased/ tasted. I bought this bottle approximately 2 years ago and I've tried to enjoy it, at the time, the best way I knew how......I knew nothing at the time lol.
After learning how to nose, taste and enjoy bourbon, I've implemented the same to tasting this scotch.
Nose- smokey, peat, oak and I got a honey note at the end.
Palate- initially I get a smokey oak flavor with a very subtle peat note.
Finish- very smooth and a lingering smoke flavor that's enjoyable, I could definitely have a rocky patel with this!
Conclusion- I'm giving this a 3 star review simply because, I finally enjoyed this after I've learned how to drink different whisk(e)ys. I havent purchased or tasted any other scotches to compare it to so I cant, in full confidence, rate it higher than that.
