I think that this is probably the best bourbon to give as a gift. Everything about it is warm and inviting, but fails to polarize or create a divisive opinion. Certainty not a bad trait! But if you’re looking for an interesting whisky, this is not it. On the nose sweet caramel and soft vanilla ride over the bing cherry and strawberry sweetness. The palate enforces the nose with reckless abandon without adding much barrel spice. The finish is rich and long and always invites another sip.
