Nose: rye spice and slight hint of fresh mint, raw honey, caramel apple, and light cereal undertones.
Palate: Caramel apples punches through first in the mouth then fades to rye spice. The barrel influence comes through as a slight vanilla on the finish.
Finish: long, thick and chewy.
It's a decent rye, but I think needs a little more age. Promising stuff from Pinhook and Castle & Key.
