The color is really light and the aroma is bright and vibrant in spite of the obvious peat. I smell sweetness, like vanilla or honey, but not in an overwhelming way. It is fresh, like ripe citrus and lightly toasted barley. All of this strikes a really nice balance without any sacrificing any one quality. The taste is equally balanced. It is sweet, but not syrupy, and the peat brings comes in with a bit of a sour note that cuts through the sugars. The most feel is rich but the citrus keeps it from being heavy. I can see drinking this at any time, but it makes me think of spring and fall.
