    Each fall, Barrell Craft Spirits selects the bourbons that will go into its New Year bottling which is released in December to bring in the New Year. This bottling is made from a blend of straight bourbons aged as young as 5 years and as old as 10 years. They were distilled in the states of TN, IN, KY, OH, WY, NY, TX, and MD. Bottled at a cask strength of 113.54 proof, it's available as of December 2022 at select retailers. (SRP $89.99)

    TINCUP Fourteener is the first in an expected annual limited edition series which highlights Colorado's 14ers — mountain peaks with an elevation of at least 14,000 feet. This first release features Longs Peak illustrated on the bottle and it celebrates the 14ers in the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains. The whiskey is a straight bourbon which has been aged for 14 years in new, charred American white oak barrels. It is cut to proof with Eldorado Springs water. This is the oldest whiskey released by TINCUP to date. Available December 2022 in select markets. (SRP $70)

    The Origin Series is the brand's first estate-distilled collection with 100% of production from distilling to bottling handled at Bardstown Bourbon Co. This bottled-in-bond bourbon release is one of three core releases in the series. It was made with locally sourced corn and wheat grains (20% wheat, 68% corn, 12% malted barley) and was aged for 6 years. Bottled at 100 proof, it's available as of December 2022 at select US retailers. (SRP $49.99)

This bourbon release is one of three core releases in the series and it was made with a high rye mash bill (60% corn, 36% rye, 4% malted barley). Aged for 6 years, it is bottled at 96 proof.     The Origin Series is the brand's first estate-distilled collection with 100% of production from distilling to bottling handled at Bardstown Bourbon Co. This Kentucky straight rye is one of three core releases in the series. It was made a mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley. After its initial maturation, it was then finished in custom barrels with alternating toasted American oak and toasted cherry wood staves for up to 6 months. Bottled at 96 proof, it's available as of December 2022 at select US retailers. (SRP $69.99)

    The second annual edition cask strength bourbon features the last barrels laid down by former Master Distiller Joe Dangler. Aged for 10 years, the barrels used here were selected by Master Distiller Brian Prewitt and Distiller David Bock. Bottled at a whopping 144.5 proof without chill filtration, it's available in select US markets beginning mid-December 2022. (SRP $99.99)

    Eighth Notch is the eighth release from South Carolina-based Virgil Kaine. Named for the final notch in throttle of a diesel train, the bottling begins as a 5 year-old straight bourbon. Discarded vanilla beans are used to create a vanilla smoke which is then placed into toasted barrels and sealed. The bourbon is then transferred into these vanilla-smoked barrels before vanilla smoke is once again filled in the remaining space. The barrels are then sealed and the bourbon is aged for two months before bottling at barrel proof. Available December 2022 at select retailers. (SRP $80)

    This is the third release in The Rare Casks series which first launched in 2020 and just the second release for newly installed Master Blender Alex Thomas. This single malt was made with 100% unpeated Irish malted barley and was triple-distilled on 31st October 1991. After distillation it aged for 13 years and 4 months in hand-selected bourbon and sherry casks. The whiskeys were then married and recasked into a first-fill Madeira wine casks in 2005 for its final years of maturation. It is bottled without chill-filtration at 49% ABV. Available for pre-order at Flaviar.com as of December 2022. (SRP $999.99)

    This is the third and final release from Orphan Barrel. The whisky comes from the now-closed Port Dundas Distillery. The name for this 26 year-old single grain whisky comes from a prized pig named Muckety-Muck that lived amongst hundreds of other pigs at the Port Dundas piggery during the distillery's height. It is bottled at 46% ABV and carries an SRP of $299.99. It is available in extremely limited quantities nationwide as of December 2022.
