Beginning in 2025, Heritage Barrel is now a permanent addition to Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Collection available year-round after first debuting in 2018 as a Special Release. Made with the classic Jack Daniel's mash bill recipe (80% corn, 12% malted barley, 8% rye), this is aged entirely in a heavily-toasted & lightly charred American oak barrel for at least 7 years. The whiskey enters the barrel at just 100 proof while the standard entry proof for Jack is 125 proof. After aging in some of the highest elevated barrel houses in Lynchburg, the whiskey is lightly-filtered and bottled at 100 proof. Available in the US beginning August 2025 with an international rollout to follow. (SRP $69.99)

Michter's US*1 Toasted Barrel Finish Sour Mash Whiskey begins with the brand's fully matured Sour Mash Whiskey — although the exact grain recipe is not disclosed, there is not enough corn to qualify as a bourbon nor enough rye to qualify as a rye. That whiskey was then finished in toasted (not charred) barrels which were crafted from 18 month air-dried staves. This is just the third time this whiskey has been released following its initial launch in 2019. Availability begins September 2025 in limited quantities. (SRP $110)

Released annually to celebrate the birthday of Old Forester founder George Garvin Brown on September 2, Birthday Bourbon is a vintage-dated, one-of-a-kind bourbon selected from barrels made on one day of production. The 2025 edition is unique from previous releases as it was made without the use of "setback" during fermentation. Instead, it was made with a sweet mash process using freshly propagated yeast. It was distilled on April 5, 2013 and was aged 12 years. Bottled at 92 proof, a total of 210 barrels were selected for this year's edition. Once again, the brand is holding an online lottery on OldForester.com from August 18-21, 2025 for the opportunity to purchase a bottle. Winners will have to pick up the bottle at distillery in Louisville. It's also available at select retailers nationwide beginning September 2025. (SRP $199.99)

This is the 13th release in the Discovery Series which highlights the art of blending. Here the brand blended four different Kentucky straight bourbon whiskeys together, each with a different mash bill. Two 9 year-olds make up the bulk of the blend (67%) followed by a 15 year-old (20%), and an 8 year-old (13%). Then the blend was split in two parcels for secondary aging — a first for this series — with 60% placed into new American white oak barrels and the remainder into Hungarian oak. After 4 months in these secondary barrels, the blend was married and bottled at 110.8 proof. Available nationwide in limited quantities beginning August 29, 2025 (SRP $139.99)
