Tastes

Need to be patient with this. Initially, you will get caramel on the front that quickly dissipates. However, once the bottle is halfway, it really opens up with a nice fruity opening and caramel midway. The finish is short, and that doesn't change.

Vanilla, oak, a light strawberry, and a hint of orange citrus. Thin

A softer ardbeg, if there's such a thing. I'm a peathead, and I prefer all of the other offerings from ardbeg over this one.

A must try fir redbreast fans, but not as good as the 12 or 15.

Lots of shortbread cookie on the nose with a mild amount of peat. Tastes like it smells, but lacks body and has a short finish. Probably a good intro for people scared of peat.

On the neck pour, all I taste is malt and oil. Very easy to drink if you like the taste of malt, but I need to see if it opens up in a few months.
